Self Reward and Positive Reinforcement

Assalamu'alaikum.

Nurturing self esteem, growing confidence, and loving yourself aren't things that come easy, instead they're things that you and people around you surround yourself with help drive and blossom everyday. You need to boost it all with something that can make you doing it over and over again. We have so much more power to bring joy than we know. Small acts of self-kindness, a thoughtful gift after you passed an exam, even something simple like a handwritten card to yourself.

At my rotation's exam I'd stress myself silly through panic and lack of confidence, even I studied hard. I was anxious people would think I wasn't very good at knowledge. I thought I wouldn't and couldn't pass those exams. But then, I proved myself I could. The more I did and the more I discovered, the more I confident in my own ability. After that I walked home with complete free feeling: well doneeeeee! So I bought these meals to bring joy to myself after my rotation exam:

I like 'mie ayam' in the first place! and drink healthy mango juice after my rotation exam.

I give you some simple tips when you already done taking your hard times:

Eat some sweet meals (yay)

After having a complex mind due to the hard times, you need to increase your mood with something sweet. I rarely eat something sweet like cheese or chocolate, because of healthy diet, but when you eat it once, it helps you into a good mood.

Read some books!

Who else give self-reward with going to the bookstore? My favourite genre book is self-improvement books haha but sometimes I like it better with horror story books. Whatever kind of book you like, book will bring you into fantasies. I love it reading while imaging you come into the book's world. So, it will lead you into a good mood after you passed your hard times. :)

Best-friend time!

Sometimes when you at your hard times, it's hard to communicate with someone even it's your very close friend. When the strom passed, you can share it with your best friend. Your best friend knows you best, so they won't judge all the things you done or the options you took during your hard times.

Write it down.

A handwritten apeciation to the achievements you've got? A sweet poem of admiration? Sounds self-loving. Let love be the masterpiece of your life. I always write what achievements I've got in my phone notes and share it to my blog later. So I always remember what I've been grateful for. That's a slice of my living path. Memories not only can be captured with cameras, but words. Meaningful words to reward? Such a lovely act of rewarding. I want people to know how rewarding it is to lead live compasion and kindness and generosity. There's so much joy in giving of yourself.

Here, I started to respect myself. I know, I will only achieve my goals with significant work, energy, and determination. However, I still suffer my low self esteem and self confident all the time. Nothing comes without trying. But then I realised that Iam only human. Every human makes mistakes. Every person do the best in their own way. So I moved from believing I couldn't do it....to feeling I could, as long as I worked and prayed hard.

Cheesy drinks would be nice too!
All I think is the importance of every achievement I've made, that's made me believe in self reward. I've found that ackowledging my own achievements, truly saying 'well done' to yourself, and taking time to self reflect is exceptionally important. Accepting, acknowledging, and remembering each achievement of yourself, really help build your self confidence. Rewarding yourself with some meaningful things motivates you to keep going further.

Whatever your budget, find the time to reward yourself..even something simple like a special meals!
